The PAMATEA was adjudged the best team during the bowling tournament held last November 25 at the SM MOA for the 2016 NATSA Sports League.

Last October 24, 2016, the Local Chief Executives of the Makati City, headed by Mayor Abigail Binay-Campos, together with Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo, and respective congresspersons of the 2 congressional districts of Makati, Cong. Monsour del Rosario of District 1 and Cong. Luis Campos of District 2, graced the graduation rites of more than 1,000 scholars and graduates of the Special Training for Employment Program or STEP at the Makati Coliseum in Makati City.
All the graduates were also given their tool kits and cheques for training allowance. Dir. Lenny Carreon of TESDA PASMAK assisted the guests in the distribution of the tool kits for the STEP graduates.
Lending their leadership to those assembled were Congresswoman of Pasay City Emi Calixto-Rubiano, Vice Mayor of Pasay City Noel Del Rosario, Congressman of the 1st Congressional District of Makati Monsour del Rosario and representatives from the DILG.The were 37 clusters of competencies under 14 NC II full qualifications in the different trade areas – construction, automotive, electronics, and personal care, that were included in the 2015-funded STEP for Makati. Thirteen private TVIs implemented the program – Carenet Healthcare Institute, CATFABS, Cosmos Training & Assessment Center, CPDC Training and Testing Corp., Datamex Institute of Computer Technology, EWPCI Training and Testing Center, First Gear Technical Institute and Assessment Center, Kirkland Skills Center Corp., Ship Hotel Cruise Institute of the Philippines, and Techno Dev’t Center of the Philippines.
The officers of PAMATEA, the only TVET association in the PASMAK district, headed by its President, Mr. Oscar Ibay of Datamex Institute of Computer Technology, also gave their full support to the big event. There were also Barangay Captains who attended the event. They were Brgy. Capt. Dennis Almario, Brgy Capt. Resty Cajes, Brgy Capt. Dario Fojas, Brgy Capt. Baby Olfato, Brgy Capt. Ariel Sarmiento, Brgy Capt. Maribel Vitales, and Brgy Capt. Lay Papa.
This August 2016, TESDA PASMAK reached out to the Barangay Captains, kagawad and zonal leaders in the cities of Pasay and Makati to start the profiling of barangay residents as basis for the implementation of the BKPKK or "Barangay Kasanayan para sa Kabuhayan at Kapayapaan", a new TESDA flagship project in support to the national government's poverty reduction program.
Last August 12, the 201 barangay captains and their Kagawad were assembled at the Cuneta Astrodome for the BKPKK project orientation and discussion on the surveys to be conducted for barangay profiling. The project kick off for the Makati City were held separately at one of the barangay halls in District 1 and 2 for the 33 barangay captains and its zonal leaders.

Mr. Marty of TESDA PASMAK presented the full project brief and how TESDA can potentially enhance this situation by developing further the qualifications of Pasay and Makati City residents through its TVET programs.
The barangay leaders were trained on the mechanics of the skills mapping survey instruments. This also provided a great opportunity to pilot test the survey form on the community leaders in attendance. The activity provided an avenue for clarifying items that might later be asked during the full deployment of enumerators.
The graduates of Massage Therapy of San Juan De Dios Educational Foundation in Pasay City were deployed to TESDA last September 16 to do Massage Services for the TESDA PASMAK and TESDA NCR employees. This is part of the outreach program of the said accredited TVET Institution in support to TESDA PASMAK's health and wellness program for its employees.
The 2016 PASMAK TVET Forum titled "Engaging the Participation of TVET Partners in Promoting TVET in the Country" was successfully held at the Function Hall of Kline Maritime Academy Philippines in Pasay City with more than 120 participants who attended the said event. The event was held in coordination with the PAMATEA Officers headed by its President, Mr. Oscar Ibay of Datamex School System.
The forum was graced by the Deputy Director General of TESDA for Plans and Policies, DDG Rosanna A. Urdaneta and the PASMAK TESDC Chairperson and President of Building Administrators, Engr. Jeffrey R. Sosa.
The invited resource persons and their respective topics were Exec. Dir. Daniel T. Alfonso III,RN,MAN,MSN of CADAC Pasay City who talked about Drug Prevention Education Awareness Program; Engr. Marjorie Mendenilla of MFI Foundation on Integration of the 21st Centruy Skills in the Development of New Standards for Basic Competencies of the Training Regulations; Engr. Levvy Traquena of Interface Computer College on the exemplar curriculum on Diploma Program for IT; and Mr. Jaewe T. Piansay on the exemplar curriculum on Diploma Program for Tourism.
